Saint Canice recently had a visit from the ECO schools’ assessors to assess our application for a renewal of our Green flag. They met with our ECO committee, who talked about the projects we are currently undertaking in the school. They also showed our visitor around the school to see the work that is going on, especially our planting and growing which is being carried out in our polytunnel. The ECO schools’ team were very impressed with our efforts, stating, ” It is fantastic to see that eco work is so well embedded in the school and I was extremely impressed with your Eco Committee who are a real credit to the school and some of the most polite and mannerly pupils I have met to date. I look forward to seeing your eco journey continue and grow.”
Not only was it great to receive such positive feedback about the ECO work we are doing, but it was wonderful to have the great manners and behaviour of our pupils recognised.
We are delighted to have had our Green flag renewed for another two years.
